Applied Scientific Research Fund (ASRF) is a non-profit company created by Samih Darwazah (2011) the founder of Hikma Pharmaceuticals, to support innovators and entrepreneurs in the Arab Region who have innovative and commercially applied ideas in the health care fields.
ASRF accomplishes its mission by supporting potential Arab innovators in the healthcare sector through capacity building, funding their projects, and providing them with the needed network.
Distinctively, ASRF mission is not over by merely publishing journal articles or reports; ASRF tends to assist the innovators in applying for their patents, build their prototypes, and commercialize their research outcomes, or even support in spin off companies.
ASRF does not hire researchers or directly operate its own laboratories or similar facilities. Instead, ASRF supports scientists, engineers and educators directly through their own home institutions (typically universities and colleges) and/or other suitable environments. ASRF's job is to provide assistance to help scientists to do their own research.
Recently ASRF worked on studying the needs of the refugees and customized special projects for their capacity building in order to merge them in the Jordanian community Also; Focusing on refugees by selecting the innovative candidate to be part of ASRF activities
We are committed to creating economic and social development and awareness by becoming a leading innovation support organization in the Arab region.
We aim to support potential Arab innovators in the healthcare sector through capacity building, funding their projects, and providing them with the needed network.
